As an important first point of contact with patients, excellent people skills, strong organizational ability, computer proficiency, and attention to detail will help you succeed in this position.
Responsibilities include:
greeting patients and checking them in and out triaging patient inquiries about eye issues scheduling and confirming appointments verifying patient insurance benefits and requesting referrals helping patients to utilize their benefits On-the-job optometric tech training provided as you grow in your job skills, including:
pre-testing and taking patient medical history patient education including contact lens training assisting optometrist during patient exams No weekend or evening hours.
Hourly position, competitive pay commensurate with experience.
Willing to consider candidates with related skills who want to learn about the optometry field.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
