Job
Summary:
The Field Specialist performs scouting and scheduling work to validate and prepare gas meter and service remediation work to be performed by our construction crews.
The position interacts directly with customers to schedule the necessary work and ensure a full understanding of the work being performed before and after the remediation.
Duties and
Responsibilities:
Perform field visits to scout and schedule necessary remediation work Review order lists, documents job requirements, and report necessary scheduling information to the project coordinator and crew foreman Work closely with crew foreman and general foreman Communicate with customers daily through phone calls and in-person interactions Use a laptop, tablet, or smartphone to receive, document and perform locates Utilize the Energy Wheel to identify job and site-specific hazards Help identify and remove barriers to safe and productive job site performance Operate different electronic detection equipment to locate and accurately mark facilities Operate company vehicle in a safe manner and maintain a professional appearance Perform work in all weather conditions Minimum
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent Must be 18 years or older Ability to interpret plan sets and maps Ability to read technical instructions Proficient operation of smart devices (phone, tablet, laptop) Ability to take clean, understandable notation Strong verbal communications skills Ability to work outdoors in densely populated and remote areas Work while standing or sitting for several hours at a time Reach, bend, stoop while performing work Strong work ethic and ability to work effectively in a team environment and independently Clean driving record and a DOT physical or ability to obtain one upon employment Preferred
