Responsibilities:
Brightpoint Community College is seeking to fill a nine-month full-time teaching faculty position available for the Fall 2023 semester in art history.
The selected candidate will teach primarily art history courses in face-to-face, hybrid, and/or online formats.
Full-time teaching responsibilities include teaching the equivalent of 15 credit hours per semester, student advising, course evaluation and development, serving on division and college committees, and the ability to attend and represent Brightpoint Community College at community events and professional meetings and conferences.
Teaching assignments may be at both campuses to include a mix of day, night, and/or online classes.
QUALIFICATIONS Required:
Master's degree in art history from an accredited college or university; or equivalent degree with a minimum of 18 graduate credit hours in art history.
Demonstrated ability to collaborate with colleagues and strong communication skills required.
The successful candidate must be willing to teach a combination of day, evening, weekend, and online classes with the ability to be flexible to work at any of the College's locations, and have proven experience with online teaching formats and instructional technology.
Successful completion and passing of a criminal background check is required.
Preferred
Qualifications:
Ph.
D.
preferred, with concentration in a non-Western subject area; postsecondary teaching experience, especially in two-year colleges; experience teaching the history of non-Western art or other non-Western art history courses.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
