Quick Apply Full-time 12 hours ago Full Job Description Interventional Pain & Spine Specialists is seeking a Clinical Medical Assistant who can provide clinical expertise to ensure all patients receive high quality, efficient care.

While working under medical Physicians the Medical Assistant will be required to:
Appropriately greeting our patients in the waiting area, exam room, and procedure room, while always ensuring comfort and safety at all times You will prepare patients for examination and treatment by taking patient histories and vital signs, noting any changes or areas of concern Must be able to give injections Prepare exam, treatment, and procedure rooms with the necessary instruments including preparation and maintenance of supplies, and equipment for treatments and procedures, as well as sterilization Anticipate and support the needs and preferences of the Provider(s) and patients by managing daily patient flow, and acting as a constant liaison between the Provider(s) and patients Monitor clinical messages by effectively communicating with the patients and Provider(s), including timely message return and documentation Provide patients with any needed discharge/follow-up instructions and educational brochures Follow safety and infection control procedures at all times by maintaining individual protective protocols to X-ray exposure (aprons, shields, badges, etc.
); maintaining disposable sterile equipment, supplies, and accessories following standards outlined in the Policy & Procedures Manual; properly disposing of contaminated waste following Universal Precautions and OSHA regulations; and maintaining knowledge of aseptic and sterile techniques Understand, comply with, and enforce all NSPC policies, procedures, codes of conduct, and OSHA and HIPAA privacy rules.
We require the following:
A high school degree or equivalent Graduated from an accredited Medical Assisting program or completion of EMT-B training courses, required.
CMA and/or RMA certifications are strongly preferred.
At least one year of Clinical Medical Assistant experience, preferably in a pain focused practice, required.
Experience with EMR, Athena preferred but not required, and computer literate Able to work in a fast-paced and demanding environment Excellent organizational/multi-tasking skills with acute attention to detail Ability to always provide outstanding customer service at all times by communicating effectively and professionally with a diverse population Authorization to work in the United States without requiring authorization sponsorship by our company for this position now or in the future IPSS offers a wide variety of benefits, including comprehensive medical/dental/vision insurance options, life and other ancillary insurance plans, 401(k), holidays, and paid time off (PTO).
