Educational Building (upstairs & downstairs) Daily (General) 1.
Empty wastebaskets in offices, hallways, and Sunday School rooms that do not double as a daycare classroom.
a.
For the Sunday School rooms, this should be done on Mondays & Fridays in case they are used during the week.
b.
For rooms used for Team Kids and Youth, this should be done on Thursdays.
2.
Sweep floors and vacuum carpets in common areas (hallways, bathrooms, etc).
Move furniture as necessary to fully vacuum or sweep.
3.
Sweep stair treads.
4.
Straighten furniture and chairs.
5.
Clean tables upstairs.
6.
Check for and remove cobwebs.
7.
Clean drinking fountains.
Daily (Bathrooms) 1.
Clean and deodorize sinks, commodes, urinals, vanities, mirrors and door handles in all restrooms.
2.
Check and replace bathroom supplies such as paper towels, toilet paper and soap.
3.
Spray with Lysol.
4.
Mop and deodorize bathroom floors.
5.
Empty wastebaskets Weekly 1.
Wipe out window sills.
2.
Dust shelves, tables, chairs, pianos and other furniture.
3.
Sweep floors in Sunday School classrooms that are not also used as daycare classrooms.

Mop floors (including classrooms).
Sanctuary Building (upstairs and downstairs) Weekly 1.
Empty trashcans in classrooms and prayer room.
2.
Sweep floors and vacuum carpets (including vestibule).
3.
Vacuum pews and underneath pews (including balcony & choir loft).
4.
Wipe out window sills including the baptistry sill.
5.
Pick up all trash and juice cups in the pews, book racks and under pews.
6.
Dust all furniture, including piano, organ and pulpit furniture.
7.
Place all hymnals in the book racks.
8.
Check for and remove all cobwebs 9.
Mop floors, including floors under the pews.
Bathrooms 1.
Clean and deodorize sinks, commodes, urinals, vanities, mirrors and door handles in all restrooms.
2.
Check and replace bathroom supplies such as paper towels, toilet paper and soap.
3.
Spray with Lysol.
4.
Mop and deodorize bathroom floors.
5.
Empty wastebaskets Fellowship Hall The frequency of duties in the Fellowship Hall is based on usage.
Whenever there is a church-sponsored event that uses the Fellowship Hall, these need to be done within 12 hours of the end of the event.
In some cases (VBS & younger children's camps) these are daily duties.
1.
Check trashcans daily and empty as necessary.
2.
Sweep and vacuum floors.
3.
Clean and deodorize sinks, commodes, urinals, vanities, mirrors and door handles in restrooms.
4.
Spray bathrooms with Lysol.
5.
Mop and deodorize floors.
Outside As needed:
1.
Sweep sidewalks.
2.
Pick up trash around outside of buildings.
3.
Empty playground trashcans into dumpsters.
4.
Monitor sidewalks during cold weather and put down salt or ice melt as needed.
5.
Sweep front porch and remove spider webs from around doors and railings.
Other Duties As Needed General 1.
Notify properties committee of any maintenance that needs to be done.
2.
Keep chemicals in their original bottles.
Be sure all bottles are properly labeled and stored.
3.
Use the appropriate chemical on the appropriate surface.
4.
Coordinate with church secretary to replenish supplies.
5.
Replace light bulbs in offices, halls, classrooms, restrooms and fellowship hall as needed.
6.
Remove scuff marks on tile floors.
Sanctuary Building 1.
Notify properties committee of light bulbs that need replacing in the sanctuary (ie - chandeliers).
2.
Clean small windows on foyer doors in the sanctuary.
3.
Clean all brass handplates.
4.
Clean and straighten the room between the sanctuary and the Adult 4 department and the 2 rooms off the foyer.
5.
Clean baptistry and baptistry dressing rooms before and after each use.
6.
Clean mirror and dust tops of pictures in prayer room.
