We are currently sourcing for Electrical & Controls Engineers for a long term contract opportunity (possible temp-to-direct) in the Richmond VA area.
Successful candidate will work on projects including power distribution, lighting auxiliary systems, industrial control systems (PLC/DCS/HMI). Projects range from small repair or re-work to complex EPC contracts for heavy industrial processes. Will be responsible for designing systems for industrial buildings, power distribution systems, lighting systems, motor control centers (MCC) with wiring schematics, and developing construction specifications.
Should be prepared to participate in the planning, scheduling, conducting and coordinating of detailed phases for the projects. Additionally, should be well organized, able to meet deadlines, team player with good interpersoanl skills, able to communicate effectively with contractors, clients, and management team.
Qualifications:
BS degree in Electrical Engineering
4 - 10 years of Engineering experience
Several projects should be industrial which would include Chemical, pharamaceutical, pulp and paper, tobacco, power, refinery, or similar heavy industries.
Strong knowledge of applicable codes and standards (NEC, ANSI, NEMA, NFPA).
Strong knowledge of P&IDs, control elementary drawings, ISA style instrument specs, and loop sheets.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
