Wait Staff / Server (FT and PT Available)
The Wait Staff are responsible for courteously serving resident and guest meals, and for clean-up and resetting of dining room following meal service.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Policies/Procedures/Administration
o Maintain a good working knowledge of all dining room and kitchen responsibilities and procedures
o Understands basic kitchen equipment operation (food processor, dishwasher, beverage machine, etc.)
o Maintain a clean work area in the kitchen, serving area, and dining room
o Understands proper table setting for each meal
o Provide beverage service (water, iced tea, juices, milk and coffee/tea)
o Refill salt/pepper/sugar bowls prior to and after each meal
o Report any broken equipment or tableware to supervisor
o Understands sit-down service and proper serving techniques
o Has a basic understanding of food preparation (salads, desserts, etc.)
o Knowledge of proper food storage and labeling techniques
o Sweep, mop, and vacuum kitchen and dining room
o Attends required in-services and staff meetings
o Completes all other duties assigned
Residents:
o Assists residents when placing orders from the menu
o Must be attentive to special needs of residents including: mobility deficits, memory impairment, etc.)
o Assists with tray service
o Follows confidentiality policies regarding release of resident information
o Interacts in a polite considerate manner to residents, guests, co-workers and supervisors
Requirements:
o Must be in clean designated uniform during working hours and maintain good personal hygiene
o Must be able to read and follow simple instructions
o Must possess be able to perform simple, repetitive tasks
o Must be able to learn quickly and apply learned principles
o Must be able to communicate effectively and work under close supervision
o Must be able to bend, reach, grasp, push and pull objects
o Must be able to stand and walk for sustained periods up to three (3) hours at a time
o Must be able to lift 50 lbs on a regular basis and carry heavy objects for 20 feet
o Must be organized and willing to work well with other team members
o Must be willing to work a flexible schedule that includes days, evenings, weekends, and holidays

Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
