Mobile Vehicle Mechanic

JOB DESCRIPTION
The Mobile Vehicle Mechanic performs routine maintenance, Inspection, and repairing of all Clean Harbors vehicles at Branch locations. Technicians must be able to complete all fleet maintenance processes and ensure that units meet DOT specifications at all times and properly fill out company forms.
Responsibilities:
o Ensures Health and Safety is the number one goal by following policies, processes, and acting in a safe manner at all times. o Correct all equipment deficiencies and perform preventative maintenance on company owned equipment as prescribed by management. o Ability to perform thorough inspection of equipment and identify unsatisfactory condition. o Assures that all Equipment is properly secured prior to work/repairs, i.e. chockblocks, and jackstands. o Full compliance with mandatory Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) requirements during all work related activities and tasks. o Participation in company safety initiatives. o Travel to other locations to perform repairs and maintenance on equipment as required. o Completes and submits all associated paperwork as required for tracking PM schedules. o Perform compliance and safety inspections on company equipment and property as required by management. o Coordinate parts for mobile repair unit. o Support and assist coworkers as needed during repair. o Maintenance of all general repair equipment, and shop tools. o Safe Operation of company owned vehicle at all times. o Filling out and submitting all required documentation in an accurate and timely manner. o Maintain active light duty or DQ driver status as per mobile vehicles
REQUIREMENTS:
o High school diploma or equivalent required. o 3
years of diesel truck repair experience required. o Valid driver's license and clean driving record with Commercial Drivers License (CDL) where required. Able to pass a comprehensive Background and Drivers qualification check . o Other security identification clearance may be required for Facility access. o OSHA 24 hour training. o Brake Inspector Certification, DOT certified in FHWA Inspections and Air Brakes required. o Ability to travel within assigned territory (greater than 70% travel required). o Enhance maintenance department and organization reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments o Proven Heavy Duty Technician Experience o Must be willing to work flexible shifts including nights, weekends, and overtime as required o Determine vehicle condition by conducting inspections, scheduled PM's and diagnostic tests; identifying worn and damaged parts & replacement as necessary o Certifications in related fields preferred (Freightliner, Sterling, Western Star, Detroit Diesel, Cummins, Allison, CAT, Eaton Fuller) o Must have experience in Engines Chassis Drive-line Hydraulic systems Brakes A/C systems Electronic systems
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
o Climbing, speaking, listening, standing, grasping, reaching, stooping and crouching, as well as lifting, pulling/pushing and carrying up to 70 lbs. o Long periods of driving from location to location. o Working in an elevated position using a portable platform or ladder; ability to climb in and around equipment. Employment is contingent upon a successful background check and drug screen. Some positions also require a pre-hire medical exam. Must meet all work eligibility requirements. Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
