Job Requirements
Entry or developmental level position providing technical or engineering support in continuous emissions measurement systems testing and reporting. Performs basic and/or routine assignments and tasks under the direct supervision of the supervisor or work leader, which are designed to develop and enhance technical or engineering expertise, knowledge and abilities for progression to the next level. Under the supervision of a supervisor or work leader, performs engineering or technical calculations, analysis, research and design to further develop professional knowledge and abilities and to provide technical support in designated company area or specialized function. This may include analyzing and evaluating systems, equipment, process improvements, and programs for assurance that they are modified, operated, and maintained in accordance with Company policy and procedure and regulatory requirements. This role does not function as a technician in modifying, operating or maintaining systems or equipment. Limited exercise of judgment is required on detail of work.

The knowledge, skills, abilities and experiences that are required for entry into this job include the following:
Computer skills and knowledge and use of various software programs. Sufficient knowledge, technical expertise and work experience to perform essential duties of the job using EPAs ECMPS and CEMS DAHS software.
Basic knowledge of CEMS operation, maintenance and technical design applications.
Knowledge of the design and operation of moderate to complex systems and equipment.
Knowledge of EPA AIR regulations that apply to Electric Generating Units (EGUs) including experience with one of the following sections: 40CFR60 NSPS sections Da, Db, GG, or KKKK; 40CFR75 Appendices A & B.
Must understand basic routine CEMS testing pass/fail criteria and required test scheduling basics.
Working knowledge in the operation and application of personal computers and software programs (Microsoft Office).
Good oral and written communication skills, including basic technical writing skills.
Ability to learn to interpret EPA Air regulations and reporting practices.
Ability to problem solve and to quickly process information.
Ability to coordinate multiple tasks and work in a team environment.
Valid drivers license
Preferred Skills, Abilities and Experience
Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
Familiarity with 40CFR63 EGU MACT (MATS) and/or Industrial Boiler MACT rules.
Test schedule requirements for CEMS, COMS and related equipment, and how the various regulatory subparts have similar but sometimes conflicting testing requirements.
Experience analyzing CGA/Linearity and RATA testing to determine test status (pass/fail).
Experience using ESCs StackVision DAHS software.
