Summary:
In this challenging position you will focus on maintaining mechanical, electrical and instrumentation systems at our air separation plant. The maintenance technician will enhance existing and new skill sets leading to promotional opportunities. These skillsets include operations, project management, advanced computer skills, performance management and business management.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES:
Maintenance of Mechanical, Electrical and Instrumentation systems in accordance with manufacturer's instructions, local work instructions and governing regulations.
Analyzers, instrumentation and related calibration files in Chester and Durham, NC
Inventory, ordering and maintaining compressed gas cylinders
Planning and executing maintenance during plant outages
Contractor relationships
Demonstrated advanced troubleshooting skills
Demonstrated commitment to safety for yourself and all persons on site
Planning & Maintenance at Onsite facility in Durham, NC
Underground pipeline maintenance, marking and calibrations
Storeroom and spare parts ordering and inventory
Write Permits, lead lock-out tag-out, and supervise contract jobs
Maintaining and improving the servers on site
Demonstrate willingness to work in a team environment and maintain professionalism
Completes other related duties as assigned
Qualifications:

EDUCATION and/or
Experience:
High school diploma or equivalent and 5 plus years or more industrial plant experience working with instrumentation/electrical equipment. A 2-year associate's degree in instrumentation or equivalent degree is preferred.
TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS:
Occasionally (1-33% of work time);
Travel to Durham, NC at least once a month and nationally for training
Company transportation provided for business travel.
COMPUTER SKILLS:
Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook)
Server and computer hardware experience with ABB/Bailey Infa 90 experience preferred
Skills interacting with a computerized process control system
Knowledge of Google applications and SAP preferred
COMMUNICATION and/or CRITICAL THINKING SKILLS:
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.
Ability to read, analyze and interpret plant technical drawings including block-flow diagrams, P&ID's and other electrical diagrams.
Ability to write routine business reports and business correspondence in English.
Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from employees and/or customers.
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals using the English language.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent's.
OTHER REQUIREMENTS:
Ability to work on-call at all times and as needed on site to resolve unplanned failures
Flexibility to work on shift as needed
Clean driving record for use of company vehicle
